L’Ancresse kiosk could reopen for another year

L’ANCRESSE East Kiosk could reopen for one more year after it was announced that work to demolish part of the Second World War anti-tank wall has been delayed until at least 2019.

Kiosk tenant Eddie Percy confirmed his landlord, States Property Services, has offered him the opportunity to carry on running the popular kiosk during the 2018 season but he is yet to make his decision.

The kiosk closed its doors for what was thought to be the final time on 1 October.

It was disappointing, Mr Percy said, that the debate had been rushed through and now the time and money needed to be found to do it, it was being held off.

‘We have been the tenant for 30 years and we have been very disappointed with the way we have been treated. It’s galling.'
