EDUCATION minister Paul Le Pelley has said he is confident his committee’s option for a three-school model will succeed at tomorrow’s States meeting.

His comments followed last night’s open meeting at Beau Sejour, which was attended by about 150 people.

While the meeting was aimed at informing parents, Deputy Le Pelley was challenged by a number of teachers in the audience, who were particularly opposed to the idea of a single, large sixth form centre for all full-time students.

Deputy Le Pelley said he felt his committee’s ideas would be voted through tomorrow.

‘We are looking forward to the debate and we think we’ve got it,’ he said.
