Tindall wins seat on two committees

ST PETER Port South Deputy Dawn Tindall was elected to two States committees this morning.

Three departments needed new members – Economic Development; Education, Sport and Culture and Health and Social Care.

The only contested election was for two seats on Economic Development.

As well as Deputy Tindall, Alderney Representative Louis Jean and Deputy David De Lisle were proposed.

Deputy De Lisle topped the poll with 26, while Deputy Tindall was second with 24. Mr Jean was unsuccessful, receiving 14 of the votes cast.

Deputy Tindall was elected unopposed to a place on HSC.

The third vote, for a place on ESC, went to Deputy Lester Queripel, who was also elected unopposed.

Earlier in the morning, the States of Election sat and David Robilliard was elected unopposed to the role of Jurat.
