There were concerns raised on the National Childbirth Trust Guernsey Facebook page last month about sessions being moved.

Health & Social Care has explained why and said that neither of the affected clinics was closing.

An afternoon clinic at the Vale douzaine room will now take place at Bright Beginnings in the morning and a St Martin’s clinic will move days.

An HSC spokesman said that there was not a shortage of health visitors in Guernsey.

‘We can confirm that health visiting clinics are not being closed. The Vale clinic on a Monday is being moved to Bright Beginnings on a Tuesday.

‘This is an exciting opportunity for us to work closely with third sector providers of support for children and families in the community.

‘Likewise, the St Martin’s clinic is not closing, but is being moved from a Tuesday afternoon to a Monday afternoon.’
