Planning permission for 20 apartments and three houses on the site in La Charroterie was granted in 2015, but there have been some delays in the project that had originally been earmarked to be completed this spring.

Charroterie Developments director Quinten Hubbard said the new homes should be ready by the end of 2019 or early 2020.

‘I’m definitely pleased to see it moving forward,’ he said.

‘I definitely want to see this done.’

The site is one of four properties in the road owned by the company.
