Elizabeth College win Youth Speaks

ELIZABETH COLLEGE senior team were the winners of this year's Mourant Ozannes Youth Speaks competition this evening.

The winning speech was entitled Trusting the Terminator, about the positives of a future reliant on artificial intelligence.

Both senior teams aged 16-18 were teams from the Elizabeth College. The winner of the intermediate competition aged 14-16 was the Grammar School with their talk, The Hakuna Matata Concept.'

Winners of the individual 'best of the rest' category were the three team members from the La Mare De Carteret team with a talk about the lesbian gay bisexual and transgender community.

The team from Elizabeth College will now go on to compete in the national round of the competition at Richard Taunton College in Southampton.
