St Sampson’s High head Annabel Bolt, Les Beaucamps’ Sophie Roughsedge, La Mare’s Vicky Godley and Grammar’s Liz Coffey released a joint statement yesterday. ‘As head teachers we remain focused on our staff and students and the delivery of high quality learning in each of our schools,’ they said.

‘It is still too early to comment further on the recent political decisions about the future of secondary and post-16 education, but we would like to reassure our parents, carers and the wider community that we will continue to do our best for all our children and young people and ensure that their learning is disrupted as little as possible as new plans are worked up in detail.’
