Bankrupt Boris’s trophies could be in Guernsey

GUERNSEY is one of the jurisdictions being targeted in a search for trophies belonging to former Wimbledon tennis champion Boris Becker.

The German shot to fame when in 1985 he became the youngest male player up to that time to win the coveted title, beating Kevin Curren in the final, and during his career he won six Grand Slams.

He won a total of 49 singles titles and reportedly earned $25m. in prize money.

Now 50, he was declared bankrupt by a London court last year.

In an effort to repay his creditors, he is asking for help to locate missing trophies, including three he won at Wimbledon.
