Shop front damaged by boxes set alight
DAMAGE has been caused to the front of Guernsey Photographics after cardboard boxes were set alight in the Commercial Arcade.

Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service were called at approximately 6pm to reports of boxes on fire in the area.
The flames were extinguished soon after with the debris cleared by 6.45pm.
Windows and paintwork on the shop’s exterior has been left damaged from the fire.
Karl Abbotts, duty sergeant for Guernsey Police, said the force were appealing for witnesses.
‘We’ve been called to a fire in the Commercial Arcade at around 6pm, the investigation is ongoing, he said.
‘We’re appealing for witnesses at this time who may have seen anyone in the area, particularly anyone seen starting a fire or acting suspiciously in the area.’
