The head of key stage three at the school and previously of Vauvert Primary school wanted to get back in shape while raising money for a cause close to her heart.
‘I used to run to school when I was at Vauvert, which was only two or three miles, obviously it’s a lot longer now.
‘The children think it’s brilliant, they love how I’m always in trainers. They’re taking part in the Daily Mile challenge at the moment as well so they’re very interested in running – they even say they want the pet tortoise to take part.’
