Film star Lily James coming to Guernsey
LEADING actress Lily James will come to Guernsey for the premiere of the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society film.
The special local premiere will take place at Beau Sejour on 12 April ahead of the film's general release.
Director and award-winning filmmaker Mike Newell will also be in attendance.
Organised by the recently formed Arts Foundation Guernsey it will give islanders the chance to see the much anticipated film, ahead of its UK release in cinemas on April 20th.
The event will also act as a fundraiser for the foundation.
In addition; actor Glen Powell, producers Paula Mazur, Mitchell Kaplan and Graham Broadbent, plus screenwriter Thomas Bezucha will also all attend on the night. Liz Froneberger, daughter of Mary Ann Shaffer will attend on behalf of her late mother, as will co-author and niece of Mary Ann Shaffer, Annie Barrows.
