Head of fundraising for the Little Chapel foundation Jack Honeybill said he forecast approximately £10,000 every month over the next 12 will be needed to complete essential jobs such as repairs.

‘At the moment the flooring has been laid, we are installing electrics, drainage and cameras, doors are to be installed.

‘Major underpinning has been necessary to the front main entrance and the arch above the middle exit door showing signs of collapse. We will then need to commence work on the gardens once the plans have been agreed,’ he said.

The TLC for TLC fundraising amount is currently unknown but Mr Honeybill said recent events brought in £10,000.

‘The fundraising is moving forward steadily and has been helped by Tim Langlois for two nights of Let’s Swing at Christmas, sponsored by Specsavers.

‘This made £9,000 for the Foundation with the recent Italian night at the Farmhouse, sponsored by David Nussbaumer, raising £1,000,’ he said.

On 25 March, the Bailiff and Little Chapel patron, Sir Richard Collas will welcome invited guests to view the work that was carried out over the winter months as part of the foundation’s Palm Sunday event.

The tourist attraction will re-open to the public on Sunday 1 April at 2.30pm.
