The cost of a Bailiwick stamp will go up by 2p to 46p, a UK stamp by 3p to 62p, a letter to Europe will by 3p to 76p and a letter to the Rest of the World by 5p to 85p.

Guernsey Post chief executive Boley Smillie said these changes to postal rates will come into effect on Tuesday 3 April.

‘This year in particular we have experienced a significant increase in charges from our suppliers for the onward conveyance and delivery of mail to the UK and International destinations,' he said.

'However, we continue to work hard to offer the best possible prices and we are confident that our rates are still competitive.’
