Two cars were involved in a road traffic collision at St Peter's on Friday evening (21807984)

Guernsey Fire and Rescue, St John Ambulance Rescue Service and Guernsey Police were all called to the scene by a member of the public at 8.52pm.

A white Fiat and a Ford Fiesta collided at the intersection between Route de Plaisance, Rue des Messuriers and Rue de la Tourelle. One female passenger had to be extricated from a car.

The woman was conscious but immobilised with a collar due to the nature of her injuries.

It is understood that the white Fiat car was travelling towards the airport and the Fiesta was attempting to turn when the incident occurred.

A witness said that a member of the public came into St Peter's Food hall asking for a fire extinguisher as a precaution but no fire was detected.

An off-duty member of St John, who had recently finished his shift for the day, was at St Peter's Food Hall at the time of the incident and was the first on the scene.
