The programme will begin with a visit to Torteval Church, where she will see recent restoration work and unveil a plaque to commemorate its bicentenary.

The Princess Royal will also meet parish officials.

She will see a series of outdoor displays in the neighbouring glebe field, which tell the story of rural and historic Guernsey.

To see The Princess Royal, islanders should be outside Torteval Parish Church or in the glebe field behind the Church Hall by mid-morning.

Additional parking will be available at the main Glebe field, in the car park used for the annual Scarecrow Festival.

Princess Anne will arrive in Sark by Trinity House helicopter at the Millennium Field at 1pm.

She will view the restored Point Robert Lighthouse and meet the public after in the field at the top of the lighthouse steps.
