Bella Ogier has received the BWCI bursary, which provides local students with financial support for the duration of their university course. It also offers a wide range of paid practical work experience during the university holidays across the firm’s business areas.

The award comes after the student achieved a clean sweep of A* grades in her A-levels in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry. Her impressive A-level results have secured her place at the University of Durham to study natural sciences (maths and physics).

‘Bella has done incredibly well in her A-levels and we hope that the skills she gains from her work experience with us will also be helpful to her in a university environment,’ said BWCI senior HR manager Alison Hawkins.

Bella said: ‘The work experience has given me a valuable insight into life and the work involved at BWCI. I have really enjoyed it and look forward to continuing work next year. The financial aid will help me to grasp every opportunity at university. I’m very grateful to have been offered this bursary.’
