The first copy of an all-new Contact magazine will be distributed in January and will showcase Chamber members, the full membership directory and their contact details.

The partnership forms an important part of Chamber’s restructure and the coffee table-style magazine will include profiles on the people and businesses within the island’s largest membership organisation.

‘We are genuinely excited about this joint initiative,’ said Chamber president Barrie Baxter.

‘It gives each and every Chamber member the chance to be included, for free, in the directory and they will also have an option to be part of editorial and advertorial features to highlight their businesses.’

He added that the Guernsey Press and Chamber are at the heart of business and community.

‘So it is a natural fit for us to work together to bring our members an all-encompassing magazine which will also have reader appeal for the whole of the island,’ he said.

Guernsey Press managing director Mark Lewis said the partnership with Chamber was a natural fit.

‘We are able to expand on Chamber’s communication channels whilst continuing to provide their members with their own bespoke magazine, Contact,’ he said.

Members will be contacted soon by the Guernsey Press production team, led by Susie Campanella, head of new business development.

‘We are delighted to be appointed to develop and continue this publication and to be helping Chamber members showcase their businesses in a variety of different platforms,’ she said.

Chamber will also have a regular presence in the Press’s monthly pan-island magazine, Business Brief, and intends to make good use of a fortnightly branded column in the newspaper’s business section.

‘This frequency and breadth of coverage will ensure that we can make it very clear throughout the island how Chamber is interacting with, and on behalf of, our members to make business life here as successful as possible,’ said Mr Baxter.
