Operations cancelled as PEH theatres close after flooding
WATER damage has closed the main operating theatres at the hospital.

All elective surgery, and the majority of day patient cases, have been cancelled today.
Only the theatre in the Princess Elizabeth Hospital's day patient unit is available for emergencies.
At around 5pm yesterday the heat exchanger in the air conditioning unit located in the plant room above the main theatres failed causing water damage.
The theatres need to be dried, repaired, and then deep cleaned before they can be re-commissioned for use.
'The PEH expect to be able to restore its main theatre capacity on Thursday, but this will be dependent on the extent of damage requiring repair,' a spokesman said.
