Various roles are available from stewards looking after certain areas to helping out with the various children’s activities on Crown Pier.

‘This is a great opportunity to learn about and contribute to a major community event, work with the small team of people who produce the event as well as having fun and making new friends in the process,’ a spokesperson said.

To say thank you for helping out, a free meal voucher will be given to volunteers to use at one of the various catering stalls available on the day.

Some of the areas that require volunteers are: helping with the bouncy castles and other children’s activities; stewards on La Petit Train route along Castle Emplacement; people to cover the chicane as the Military Cavalcade travels through the Weighbridge roundabout and volunteers to walk along the quay ensuring all roving entertainment has the space it needs.
