The Plant Heritage Nerine Festival is being held at Guernsey Gardens, La Ramee, St Peter Port. Free entry, nerines for sale. Open daily from 10am-4pm until 19 October.

St James presents The Risk and The Sacred Hearts, an evening of classic Guernsey bands. Doors/bar opens at 7.30pm. Age restriction 16+ Tickets available from the box office on 711361 or online: www.stjames.gg

St Matthew’s Church annual church bazaar at the Cobo Community Centre at the Guet from 11am-2pm. The theme this year is The Pirates of Cobo Bay. Various Stalls and the annual Golden Ballot with a first prize of £1,500. Please note that the Rue de la Lande will be one way on the day, accessible from the coast only. There will be directed free parking in the field adjacent to the Community Centre at Albecq and no charge for entrance.

St Sampson’s Church community market at St Sampson’s Church Community Hall, Grandes Maisons Road, 12 noon-4pm. Stalls, games tables and kids’ corner showing Christmas films. Lunch 12-2pm, free tea and coffee served throughout.

The Sarnia Woodturning Group will be hosting professional woodturner Martin Saban-Smith. All interested members of the public are welcome to join club members from 1-4pm at the RAFA Club, Fosse Andre, St Peter Port. £12 for the session. The St Peter Port Parish will be commemorating the death of Sir Isaac Brock at Queenstown Heights by gathering outside Boots, where Brock lived, at 12.30pm to lay a wreath on the building above the main doors.

10 Walks, 10 Weeks, 10 Parishes. A different parish walk every Sunday until 17 November. Dogs and their owners are invited to join this fifth Wellbeing Animals Guernsey (WAG) walk, starting from Beaucette Marina, Vale at 2pm. Full details and route map downloads on www.wag.org.gg
