Some time between 4pm on Saturday 12 October and 3.30pm the following day, a number of items were stolen from Rohais Motor Centre, St Peter Port.

On a post on Facebook, the owners of the Centre explained that their facility was 'broken into and badly burgled'.

'A large number of items have been stolen, including: a white BMW 1 Series car, various Pioneer touchscreen head units, tools including [an] Autel diagnostic tool [and the] shop till with [the] cash float and business cards,' Mark, Deb and Tom Sauvarin wrote on the post.

'We will need to further [assess] tomorrow in the light of day [to see] if anything else has been stolen.

'We are a local family-run business and we are absolutely gutted this has happened to us.'

Guernsey Police were notified and the family mentioned how 'extremely helpful' they had been on the case.

'We would like to ask all of our customers and friends to please help us track them [the thief/thieves] down. Thanks in advance.'

Anyone with any information should get in contact with PC 157 Wesley on 725111 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
