Pictures, taken by Matt Hood, appeared on social media this morning [29 october] of a CT Plus bus driving from Hautes Capelles towards St Sampson's on Hougues Magues Road which is one-way in the opposite direction.

At the Capelles end of the road there is a no entry sign.

A CT Plus spokesperson said the company takes matters such as this seriously.

'The matter is being investigated. No-one was affected and no other vehicles were involved,' they said.

After the incident, the bus was able to return to its normal route, route 31 from town to La Passee via Route des Long Camps, safely.

Later this afternoon, another CT Plus bus crashed into the bus shelter on the Grange, St Peter Port.

One of its windows smashed but nobody was injured and no other vehicles were involved.

A spokesperson said this again was a matter that the company takes very seriously and that a replacement bus was used after the crash for passengers.
