The Commodore Clipper was cancelled twice this week, but was back in service yesterday.

However, the Condor Liberation, which has lower limits, could still have problems. Condor has said tomorrow’s sailing has been put under review.

A further update on the sailing should be made this morning.

The Commodore Goodwill – Condor’s freight vessel – did not run this morning. This was due to the vessel getting behind due to bad weather earlier in the week.

To catch up, the vessel ran a Portsmouth to Guernsey route yesterday and Portsmouth to Jersey only today. This should get it back on schedule.

With the Clipper running some freight too, there will not be any shortages.

Apart from a morning cancellation, Aurigny’s Alderney services were back on track yesterday.

Around the coast the recent spring tides and strong winds had resulted in a lot of debris on the west coast road, which States Works has been working on.

Police warns motorists to be particularly careful at Perelle yesterday morning.

  • Perelle coast road will close from early this morning for emergency repairs to a burst water main.

  • A diversion will run through Rue Perelle, Grande Rue, Rue du Dos D’Ane and Gele Road.

  • These works will affect bus routes 60, 61, 91, 92.
