Attendees will be able to watch a live-stream of the mid-term breakfast debate and interact digitally and on social media.

Full refunds will be given.

The Carey Olsen-sponsored event will begin at 8.30am and discuss the leadership priorities for the 2020 election.

The IoD committee acknowledged that the scale of the impact of the novel coronavirus outbreak was uncertain, but decided a change of format was the best course of action following measures already being taken by local businesses.

Chairman John Clacy said he was pleased the important mid-term event is still able to go ahead, albeit in a different way.

‘I hope everyone booked to attend will instead watch online and interact with us digitally.

‘It is vital for business to set out their expectations to prospective candidates ahead of June’s election.’

Findings from the IoD survey will be presented and then discussed by a panel including Deputy Chris Green, Deputy Heidi Soulsby, Mr Clacy and prospective candidate Mark Helyar, moderated by James Falla.

n More details about how to access the live video will be announced shortly.
