Man rescued from water five miles east off Alderney
A MAN has been pulled from the water after capsizing five miles east of Alderney.
The Commodore Goodwill called the Guernsey Coastguard at about 11.45pm after spotting the person in the water.
She launched her rescue boat in order to recover the person.
Meanwhile, the Alderney Lifeboat was sent to help.
Shortly after noon, a male was safely recovered from the water by the rescue boat and transferred to the ship.
Alderney Lifeboat arrived at 12.30pm and the casualty was moved to the lifeboat for transfer to Alderney.
On arrival at Braye Harbour, the man was met by paramedics and Harbour Officers.
Commodore Goodwill continued to Portsmouth.
