Jon Le Tocq’s challenge took him 6hrs 5min, raising £1,850 for the Guernsey Cheshire Home so far which included a £1,000 donation from EFG Private Bank and £500 from Bullion Rock.

‘I hoped to do it within six to six-and-a-half hours and it would have been nice to dip under six,’ he said.

‘It was horrible. I haven’t done much endurance work as I’ve been concentrating on the strength side.

‘It was all right up to halfway but after then things started to break down. I had to stop skiing at one point to patch up the blisters.’

The Storm Force Fitness owner completed his challenge using machines from his own business which is based at the KGV.

Mr Le Tocq’s fiancée, Aurelie, kept him supplied with drinks throughout his challenge which was streamed live on the Guernsey Cheshire Home’s Facebook page.

‘I had it plugged into the TV so I could see the messages people were sending in as I was doing it and there was good banter with my mates. I support Everton and one who supports Liverpool messaged You’ll Never Walk Alone.’

Mr Le Tocq began his challenge with two stages of 10k of rowing, a 10k ski and a 15k cycle, before completing it with one of 10, 10 and 10.

‘I knew that some of the charities were struggling at the moment and a nurse who is one of our SFF members, Chloe Dempsey, suggested that the Guernsey Cheshire Home would be a good one.

‘I wanted to inspire people to think outside of the box. There are far better rowers and cyclists than me out there and it shows that you can still do things while having to stay at home.’
