The Guernsey Met Office have explained where the warmer weather that Guernsey has been experiencing is coming from.
'High pressure lies to the east of the Channel Islands, with southerly winds aloft drawing very warm air northwards today,' they said.
As a result, Guernsey Met anticipated temperatures will reach 21°C or 22°C later this afternoon.
The UV index for the day is 8, so wear sun cream.
Warm weather is forecast for the rest of the week too, but with sunshine levels dropping slightly tomorrow and Friday, continuing into the weekend.
Yesterday's maximum temperature was 16°C, as were the previous two days.
Last month was the hottest April on record, with a particularly hot Easter weekend.
