Pride of Guernsey voting now open!
TODAY the Guernsey Press has released a supplement full of all the nominations for this year’s Pride of Guernsey awards.
The annual awards, which are now in their fifth year, look to celebrate those across the island who make our community a better place to live.
There are 13 categories, ranging from teachers who inspire their children, to good neighbours and those who have overcome adversity.
Today’s Guernsey Press will feature a 24-page supplement with all 154 nominations.
‘We are proud to showcase some of the incredible people in our community,’ managing director of the Guernsey Press, Mark Lewis, said.
‘This year is special because lots of people wanted to recognise those who went above and beyond while Guernsey was in lockdown and dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.’
He encouraged islanders to take their time looking through the supplement to read the inspiring stories and think carefully about who to vote for.
Voting is open online now here.
Votes can be cast on as many nominations as you like, but only one vote for each of your nominations will be counted.
Multiple votes for the same nominee from the same voter will not be counted.
