A few tickets are still available to enter the colour run tomorrow, which is being organised by Suzanne Mather, who will be running the London Marathon for the charity.

It starts at 3pm at Vazon.

'It would be fantastic to see as many people down there as possible to support the event. It’s fun for all the family and there is plenty to see,' she said.

Reece Knight, who is visually impaired and a former pupil of Suzanne, will be doing a countdown for the race.

Guide Dogs for the Blind has an ambition to help every person with sight loss to have the confidence and support they need to live their lives to the full. They currently help 200,000 people across the UK including several in Guernsey.

A guide dog is not only a pair of eyes for someone they are also a companion and there are currently 500,000 people in need of help from the charity. It costs around £65,000 over seven years to breed, train and support a guide dog from birth to retirement.

All profits from the colour run, which is sponsored by Islands Insurance, will go to the charity.

The powder paint is ECO safe, non-flammable, has no heavy metals, is FDA approved, and is safe to eat.

Tickets available on Eventbrite and there are some packets of powder paint for sale if you do not want to run.
