Cases in the Baltic country have risen dramatically over the last four weeks. While new Covid-19 case numbers were mostly in single figures over the summer until mid-September, cases have risen sharply since then, with a peak to 137 new cases on Friday. This is much higher than the country's original peak in April, when new cases per day did not go above 50.

Finland, Kyrgyzstan and Lichtenstein have also moved into Group A.

The Mediterranean island nation of Cyprus has moved from Group B to the Group B watchlist, meaning it could be added to Group A at short notice.
