Bags full of nappies latest fly-tipping on Trust land
ANOTHER bout of fly-tipping has hit the National Trust, after bags containing nappies were dumped on the charity’s land.

The incident was reported to the trust yesterday and the bags removed quickly.
It comes a week after a dismantled kitchen was dumped at a different National Trust site.
Land manager Mike Brown said it was disappointed to have suffered another incident so quickly.
‘This time it was bags of nappies,’ he said.
‘We were notified first thing this morning and we have had them picked up.’
The Guernsey Press is not identifying the fly-tipping sites to avoid encouraging problems.
In relation to last week’s incident, which was at a cliff-top location, Mr Brown said the trust has now reported the matter to the police, who are looking into it.
Fly-tipping is big problem for the charity, as the rubbish can be costly to remove and then dispose of.
Mr Brown said there had been a strong response to the first incident and one man had offered to pay the disposal costs.
‘That is very heart-warming,’ he said.
