Love Shack Gourmet Kebab on St Julian's Avenue, St Peter Port, was the victim of vandalism on Sunday evening at about 11pm.

The company took to Facebook to share CCTV footage of the incident in the hopes of identifying the person involved.

In the video, the gentleman who was wearing burgundy joggers, a blue jumper and had a beard, was seen conversing at the kebab counter.

He then swung at the glass cabinet to his right, which usually keeps things like chicken wings and nuggets warm, but this time was empty, smashing the entire front panel of glass before turning and walking off.

In an update Facebook post, the company said it was going to be closed on Monday night to finalise details with the police and the insurance company.

'[The incident] also shook up Ahmed and the team so [it] will be good for them to take a night off,' they said.

'Thanks for all your help and messages. Rest assured we have and will continue to [carry out] a deep clean before opening on Tuesday to be 100% safe.'
