Yacht Inn to reopen as a live music and sports bar
THE Yacht Inn is in the process of becoming a sports bar, music venue and burger place.
Elvis Vainovskis took on the bar a month ago and is hoping it will reopen on 5 December, in time to welcome in the Christmas crowds.
While the name is staying the same, big changes are going on inside the building.
Several walls have been decorated with CDs and another wall will be decorated with guitars and vinyl records.
The bar is being enlarged and there will be flat-screen TVs to show sports.
There will also be a stage for live music and a pool table, as well as sofas. As well as drinks, there will also be food such as burgers and hot dogs.
Mr Vainovskis said he was looking forward to getting the work done and getting the building open. ‘I’ve very excited,’ he said.
‘There is nothing else like this in Guernsey.’
