Eisteddfod exhibition pushed back to June by vaccine centre
THE Eisteddfod exhibition has been pushed back three months.
After last year’s event was cancelled due to lockdown, Covid-19 has again caused disruption.
The exhibition has now been moved from its usual March dates because Beau Sejour, where it is held, is being used for the Covid vaccination programme until May.
It will now take place from 22-26 June in the Dave Ferguson Hall at Beau Sejour.
The date for receipt of entry forms will now be 24 April and entries for the needlework and arts and crafts will be received on 16 and 18 June.
It is anticipated that competitions in the music, speech and drama, French and Guernesiais sections will go ahead as planned. However, there will be no school displays this year.
A contingency plan has been put in place if adjudicators are not able to visit the island due to Covid-19 travel restrictions.
