CoE and Methodist churches close tomorrow
Churches will be closed on Sunday.
The Dean of Guernsey, the Very Reverend Tim Barker, and the Superintendent Minister of the Methodist Church in Guernsey, the Reverend Howard Stringer, have agreed that all Church of England and Methodist churches in Guernsey will be shut tomorrow as they consider their response to new Covid cases.
'We believe that this is a sensible precaution following the news breaking this morning,' they said.
'Individual Church of England and Methodist churches may be able to offer online and other provision for worship. Information about what is available will be available on the websites of our churches.'
The heads of the Guernsey churches are meeting remotely after the noon media briefing from the States.
