Temperature to drop as cold snap bites
WIND chill means that Guernsey could feel like minus six degrees today.

Some rain and sleet was forecasted to fall last night.
A Guernsey Met Office spokesperson said looking at the latest models, they showed frequent showers of rain or sleet over the next few days.

‘It will be cold,’ they said.

‘Temperatures of about three or four degrees Celsius during the day and just above freezing at night.
‘But it will feel a lot colder. With the north-east wind it will feel more like minus four or minus six degrees.’

There is a possibility of snow on Tuesday night, as Guernsey is right on the edge of where snow is forecasted to fall.
But Met officials will have a better idea about that later on today.

Towards the end of the week the weather is predicted to get slightly warmer.
Temperatures could climb to seven degrees.
