Rehearsals for Gadoc’s Annie had recommenced in January ready for the Easter performances when Guernsey was plunged into Lockdown 2 only a couple of weeks later.

The club believed that this was absolutely the right decision for the island, but it meant rehearsals had to cease.

Despite Guernsey moving into stage three on 22 March, this didn’t give the club enough time to rehearse the show ready to open on Saturday 3 April.

However, working closely with Beau Sejour, alternative performance dates later this year have been secured and Annie will now open on 31 July through to 7 August.

Tickets will be going on sale on Thursday 3 June to Gadoc members and then Friday 4 June to the general public.

‘The Annie cast can’t wait to get back into the rehearsal room,’ said director Lisa Johnston.

‘This is a fantastic family musical, with innovative choreography, colourful costumes, and a technical set that will keep the action moving smoothly from scene to scene – we can’t wait to welcome you all back to the theatre.’
