Competitions go live on Saturday to raise funds for Autism Guernsey and the Guernsey Adult Literacy Project.

Mandy Rowlinson, Autism Guernsey fundraising manager, said all preparations for the launch are complete.

‘They are going out this week and all look amazing,’ Mrs Rowlinson said.

On Saturday an app will launch, costing £2 as a donation, so entrants can take a selfie with every goat.

‘Once you have done your 52 goats you enter a draw to win an iPad.’

Paper entries are available as a written quiz including the goat’s name, location and sponsor, with a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy A40 phone.

A rough map of locations is available on a dedicated website.

Some satellite fundraisers were being organised independently of the charity.

‘The Imperial is running a competition to name the goat, where the winner will get a £50 voucher, and they will also donate £50 to Autism Guernsey.’

The trail ends in August. On 15 September the goats will be auctioned at St James with the hope of raising £50,000 for the two charities.
