Fog delays flights as travel restrictions eased
FOG caused a delay to flights into Guernsey as friends and family wait to see loved ones - on the day that Covid-19 border restrictions have changed.
Flights from Jersey, Southampton and Gatwick all due in this morning [Thursday 1 July] were listed as delayed on Guernsey Airport’s website.
Outgoing flights to Jersey and Alderney due to leave this morning from Guernsey were also delayed by the weather.
The first flight landed a little after 11.30am.
Vaccinated adults from the Common Travel Area – which includes the UK, Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man - will not need to be tested or isolate, if their second dose was at least two weeks before they arrive.
