100% pass rate for A-level students

A-LEVEL students have collected their grades today and every sixth form school in the island reported a 100% pass rate with a large percentage of students getting A* or A grades.

It was a similar story at the College of Further education, where all of its students achieved level three technical professional qualifications, the A-level equivalent.

For the second year running the onus fell on teachers to oversee the process, but unlike last year when this followed a failed attempt to have the exams graded by a computer, this year a teacher assessed grading system was in place which saw them having to set, mark and moderate the exams themselves.
