The States is looking to employ more so that all islanders who opt to receive a dose can received their booster vaccine as soon as possible.

Anyone who is a registered or recently-retired health care professional is eligible to apply for the paid role. A full list of applicable regulatory fields can be found on the website. Those interested in supporting the Covid-19 booster programme should email covidvaccine@gov.gg for further details.

The first phase of the booster doses are being offered to individuals living in care homes, frontline health workers, adults over the age of 16 who are considered extremely vulnerable and all adults aged 50 or over.

Most are being administered at the Community Vaccination Centre at Beau Sejour, but care and nursing home residents will be given their vaccine at their home.

More than 101,000 doses of vaccine have been administered since the first in December 2020 and as before, individuals will not have the option to choose which vaccine they receive.

The booster programme will be using Pfizer and Moderna.

Alternatives are available for people who are clinically excluded from receiving a mRNA vaccine.
