EXTRAORDINARY members of the islands' community were recognised at the Pride of Guernsey awards on Saturday night.

There were 38 shortlisted nominees up for 13 awards on the night at the St Pierre Park Hotel. The awards recognised all aspects of island life – from parents, grandparents and neighbours, to medical professionals, carers and teachers. Alderney and Herm also had nominations shortlisted, with
