The States removed the mandatory requirement at the end of January, but Covid-19 cases have shot up.

The bus service has been affected, with a large number of cancellations in recent days, as drivers have been off with Covid.

‘There are currently some staff off with Covid and this directly affects the number of services that can be operated,’ a CT Plus spokesman said.

‘In an effort to protect staff and passengers and also ensure a return to a service with fewer disruptions, CT Plus has been in consultation with Traffic and Highway Services, who support a company making face-coverings mandatory again to ensure the safety of all at this time.’
