Dozens of acts performed across six stages at the annual fair, which was first held in 1976.

This year, the Earth Fair was in aid of the Linda Norgrove Foundation, Burma Campaign UK, and Safer.

Kristine Garlan-Hando and Ben Le Page were enjoying the music with their children, Guy, 14, and Roux, three.

‘It’s an amazing day that is so loved year after year,’ Ms Garlan-Hando said.

‘So much work and effort goes into organising it.’

She said there were some friends who she only saw at the Earth Fair so looked forward to catching up with them.

‘There is such an amazing festival community vibe,’ she added.

The Earth Fair was an important day in Mr Le Page’s calendar, who had been attending for years.

‘I’ve been coming here since I was about 12 – it’s the longest-standing festival in Guernsey.’

Dressed head to toe in sparkles, Angelique McConnell was soaking up the atmosphere.

‘Every year it’s the same faces and I just love the party atmosphere – everyone makes an amazing effort,’ she said.

‘It’s great for families and everyone.’

The Breakz N Beatz stage was a highlight for Charles Sangan, who is also a DJ himself.

‘There are people of all ages enjoying themselves and the music is great – there is always an amazing atmosphere at Vale Earth,’ he said.

‘The queue for the beer tent was also pretty short, which is good.’

One teenager said he was attending for the first time.

‘Everywhere you go, from any stage of music to walking around, there was a lively atmosphere with everyone laughing and enjoying themselves,’ he said.

‘It’s a true reminder about how incredible it is that our community can always come together in different ways.’
