Benjamin Lewis, 18, will be starting a film studies course at King’s College London in September, and wanted to create a film that signified his time at Sixth Form before he embarked on his next step.

‘It’s not actually about me, it’s sort of about a version of me,’ said Mr Lewis, who was responsible for filming, directing and producing the piece.

‘It’s about remembering a moment in time, in the present.’

The film is made up of series of clips with a total run time of 35 minutes.

This is the second time he has produced a film, his last one being a satire project that he completed last year.

‘It is a good film. It’s a bigger margin than last time. Last year we only did a small screening at the Mallard for the cast and crew, the exciting news now is that we’re actually selling tickets to the public at a venue bigger than we have any right occupying.’

He said they had a ‘non-existent budget’ and the process involved a lot of cold-emailing and equipment borrowed from the creative department at Specsavers.

‘We are really proud of what we have created together and would love for people to actually see it.’

For one night only the film will be shown at the Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday 6 September at 8pm.
