The ‘Murder In...’ series is a long-running murder mystery series by leading French production company Quad Drama, which features different communities in France for French national channel France 3.

Murder in Bayeux is the 97th episode of the series. Filming started in February in Bayeux, ending in Alderney earlier this month, where crews shot in Braye Street, High Street and the library, which is known for its link to the Bayeux Tapestry.

Director Kamir Ainouz, actors Sara Mortensen Ferrier, Camille Claris and Christine Hooper, and 15 members of technical crew visited Alderney on the Manche Isles Express for a day of shooting.

Anne-Isabelle Boulon of Visit Alderney and colleague Caroline Gauvain liaised with Quad Drama to ensure all went smoothly for the day-long shoot.

‘We have been working with Quad Drama since last August.

‘States Works were very helpful making the scenes for the shoots looking nice and tidy, including the bunting which was up early in Braye Street,’ Ms Boulon said.

‘The volunteers at the library are to be congratulated for their welcome for the crew, closing the library and dealing with all of the unexpected last-minute issues.’

The episodes of the series are set in small French towns, away from large cities which most people have never heard of.

Alderney, or Aurigny as the French refer to it, will now be shown on screens across France this summer.
