The local community crowdfunding charity raised £5,530 for three local charities and event sponsor Belasko donated an additional £1,500.

It was the fifth fundraising event for 100 Women Who Care Guernsey.

‘We are so pleased to have hosted another successful event in support of three fantastic local charities,’ said 100 Women Who Care Guernsey director Patricia White.

‘Being able to bring together a group of women to raise money for valuable local initiatives makes it all worthwhile, and we can’t wait to see how everyone’s generosity will be used in the local community.’

More than 50 local women attended the event and donated to local charities with smaller profiles.

The three selected charities were Business Beats Cancer, which received £500, Guernsey Community Savings, which was given £1,530 and Les Voies PTFA, which received £3,500. Each participant was asked to donate £100 and individuals chose where their donation went to.
