Three days of music and entertainment attracts about 2,000 people to Sark each year, and this year was no different.

‘It went brilliantly, it was a fantastic three days of fun,’ said founder and organiser Simon Couldridge.

‘Other than a few little blips, the weather was really nice to us.’

There was live music from Friday morning until 1am on Saturday, when a DJ set closed the event, with the same set up on Saturday.

‘Sunday is always a little more chilled, people are getting tired, so it was chilled music vibes in the sun,’ said Mr Couldridge.

‘For the first time we put on a battle of the bands for younger bands, and that was really well received. A kind Sark resident donated money so we could give out a prize, and there were individual awards for the best player of each instrument.’

In the ‘SarkFest musical muratti’ £1,000 was up for grabs for seven bands.

The public could get involved in the voting, by putting tokens in their preferred box, and the individual musicians were nominated by SarkFest crew and bar staff.

On Sunday afternoon it was time to start the clear up.

‘It’s a shame to pack up after such a good weekend, but it’s got to be done,’ said Mr Couldridge.

‘It’s a large task but there are lots of people here to help.’
