Police appeal for woman missing from the Clipper
INFORMATION is being sought about a woman who is believed to have gone overboard during a Condor sailing last weekend.
Police believe the woman is Ebla Yusuf, who boarded the Clipper on foot when it left Portsmouth shortly before 11am on Saturday.
She was last seen on the ferry at about 2pm, whilst it was still in UK waters.
‘We are working closely with agencies in Jersey, Guernsey and Portsmouth in their efforts to locate Ebla,’ said States of Jersey Police yesterday.
‘There is nothing to indicate that Ebla disembarked in Guernsey or Jersey and after arrival in Jersey the crew conducted a full search of the boat and Ebla was not found.’
Police in both islands would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or spoken to Ms Yusuf before or during the journey, as this could assist ongoing search enquiries.
Anyone who may have seen this or who has any information is asked to contact Jersey Police on 01534 612612, Guernsey Police on 01481 222222 or the independent charity
Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
