P&R voted out
Deputies have overthrown the States senior committee, Policy & Resources, by 23 votes to 16 this lunchtime as they backed a motion of no confidence brought by Deputy Charles Parkinson.
Deputy Parkinson summarised that the committee had had 'no amazing, dazzling achievements' over the past three years in office and that the confidence debate 'needed to happen'.
A new president of Policy & Resources will now be elected when the States returns to the debating chamber, having now adjourned for their traditional Christmas lunch together.
